Baja Coast Seafaris invites you to be our guests aboard our 50 foot sailboat, "Irish Mist". She sleeps up to four guests comfortably in two private staterooms, with additional bunks
available for families. You will enjoy the magnificent Sea of Cortez from the main salon with its large windows, the spacious fore deck, or the well protected aft cockpit. You need no sailing or boating experience to enjoy life aboard our beautiful yacht, and you will be pampered by your friendly crew.
Come aboard "Tesoro Del Mar" our roomy and nimble Beneteau 50. She is perfect for couples, families or slightly larger groups. "Tesoro del Mar" has four double staterooms, and plenty of storage space. A hanging locker, shower and head, is in each stateroom. She sleeps up to six adults guests, and for families there is also room for two more passengers (kids?) in the forward stateroom. Adults and children love the space and speed of this roomy sailing yacht. You can experience more of our scenic area in less time, and everyone will enjoy the view of the magnificent Sea of Cortez and its gorgeous sunsets from the aft cockpit or the roomy foredeck. "Tesoro Del Mar" is waiting to handle your family's vacation and private groups on liveaboard, fully crewed chartered expeditions.
Our sailing area is from Loreto to La Paz, considered by most to be not only the finest cruising grounds in the Sea of Cortez, but in all of Mexico. Those of you who choose to explore these waters with us will be richly rewarded with beautiful islands, scenic anchorages, a variety of sea and bird life, great accommodations and terrific cuisine. Experience our wildlife adventure trips including swimming with baby sea lions, dolphin and whale and bird watching. Unlike other destinations with numerous boats, moorings and crowded shore facilities you will anchor every night in beautiful secluded coves. Uninhabited islands and white sand beaches await you, providing hiking and beach combing excursions in remote, unspoiled areas.
Our islands are a feast for the senses. Rising steeply from an azure sea, the starkly beautiful, volcanic mountains are home to a host of desert plants and birdlife. Sheer cliffs show the dramatic striations of color from jet black to flaming reds to the palest of sienna. Giant saguaros, flaming bush, choya, jumping cactus (watch out for this one!) and barrel cactus are but a few of the hundreds of plants, some of which are found in no other part of the world. The birdlife is abundant and varied; Great frigates, ospreys, hawks, herons, cormorants, gulls, boobies, and several species of pelican as well as smaller song birds and hummingbirds. The playful dolphin abound in great numbers jumping and diving, feeding on the abundance of baitfish. Colorful reefs are home to a rainbow of small multi-hued fish. Manta rays jump out of the sea and twirl in a halo of sparkling water. This fascinating landscape hides sea caves, small coves with beautiful white sand beaches, mangroves and crystal lagoons. Each day we will anchor at one of the unique coves that dot our uninhabited islands, at times we are the only boat in small secluded anchorages. Our private trips (we do not group passengers) out to the islands are always a memorable experience.
